It started with a simple problem: there weren’t enough hours in the week.
Business was growing, projects were becoming larger, and the workshop was busier than ever. While that was positive news, it created a challenge. Our team was spending significant amounts of time producing dovetail drawers, doors and frames, leaving less time for the areas that directly affected the customer experience.
Design meetings were harder to schedule. Project management became more demanding. Installation planning was constantly competing with production priorities.
We knew something had to change.
Initially, we approached outsourcing cautiously and began by sending a handful of projects to Probox. The intention wasn’t to replace our workshop, but to create breathing space.

As confidence grew, so did the amount of work we outsourced.
The extra capacity has allowed us to increase the number of shaker kitchens we complete each month without adding workshop space or increasing headcount. More importantly, it has allowed our team to focus on what they do best: designing kitchens and delivering a great customer experience.
