Our UK manufacturing facility provides ultimate flexibility: bespoke dimensions, large or small production runs, and optional dovetailed or other jointing methods, and our wooden drawer boxes can be made from oak, maple, MDF, ash, beech, cherry, birch plywood, tulipwood, or cedar.

What is a Drawer Box?
In its simplest form, a cabinet drawer is a simple box, which slides in and out on some kind of runners. As fitted kitchen design has evolved, the main visible parts of the kitchen (ie the doors and the drawer fronts) have been manufactured separately, which allows a wide choice of styles and finishes in an efficient manner. The doors are then attached to the cabinets (also known as carcases) and the drawer fronts are attached to the body of the drawer – which has become known as the drawer box. For budget kitchens these carcases and drawer boxes were made of inferior or mass-produced sheet materials, such as veneered chipboard, but discerning kitchen designers and homeowners have increasingly requested traditional solid wood products, both for carcases and drawer boxes. Probox specialises in producing the drawer box, to the highest standards and traditional dovetail jointed designs.
